STEP 1: To start parent setup, press "Start".
STEP 2: Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile internet. Press "Connect" to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
STEP 3A: Connect your own email to manage the phone over the internet.
For SafetyMode Plus users, this is the email you will use to log into SafetyMode Web Portal.
STEP 3B: Enter the One-Time Passcode sent to your email address.
STEP 4: All SafetyMode settings on your child's phone are controlled by a SafetyMode password - enter a password and press "Set password".
Only a parent or guardian should have access to this password.
STEP 5: If you would like to track your child's location using the SafetyMode Web Portal, allow SafetyMode to access the phone's location.
Press "Enable location tracking" to turn this on. You can change these settings at any time in the SafetyMode settings.
Please note this feature is only available with a SafetyMode Plus subscription.
STEP 6: To set the lock for your child's phone, press "Set lock".This is the code or pattern your child will enter each time they unlock their phone for day-to-day use.
You can change or update this at any time in the phone’s settings.
Well done! The parent set-up is complete!
You can now choose to configure the SafetyMode content filters or press "continue" to link your child's Google account.
We recommend linking your child's Google Play account.
