How to add your child's Google account to the Google Play store

This guide will show you how to link your child's Google account to the Google Play store in SafetyMode.

If you accidentally added your parent Google account to the phone during the SafetyMode setup, or you are using an Android device previously used by someone else, click here to learn on how to remove an existing Google account before adding your child's Google account.

STEP 1: Open the Google Play store.

From the home screen, go to "Apps & Safety", enter your SafetyMode parent password and press "Download Apps".

STEP 2: Sign in to your child's Google account on the Google Play store.

Press "Sign in" and enter your child's Google account details.

STEP 3: Verify your child's Google account.

STEP 3A: You may be asked to verify that it's you signing into your child's account. Please follow the on-screen instructions to verify their account (these steps may vary depending on your two-factor authentication settings).

STEP 3B: Select your desired Google services settings.

STEP 4: Check your child's Google account is linked to the Google Play store.

STEP 4A: You may need to re-open the google play store, please follow step 3 to do this.

STEP 4B: Click on the account on the right hand corner of the screen. If your child's email is visible here you've successfully linked your Child's Google account.

Well done! You have now connected your child's Google Account to the Play Store.
