STEP 1: Start parent setup, press 'Start'.
STEP 2: Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile internet, press 'Connect'.
STEP 3A: SafetyMode activity is supervised using a SafetyMode parent account. Set-up your SafetyMode parent account by entering your email address.
STEP 3B: You will receive a One-Time Passcode to this email address, type in this code.
STEP 4: All SafetyMode settings on your child's phone are controlled by a SafetyMode password - choose a password and press 'Set password'.
Only a parent or guardian should have access to this password.
Step 5: If you wish to track your child's location using the SafetyMode Web Portal, allow SafetyMode to track the location of your child's phone - press 'Enable location tracking'.
Please note this feature is only available with a SafetyMode Plus subscription.
Step 6: Set the lock for your child's phone, press 'Set lock'. Your child can use this to unlock their phone whilst using it day-to-day.
Well done! The parent set-up is complete!
You can now choose to configure the SafetyMode content filters or press 'continue' to link your child's Google account.
If you are using an Other phone, please continue to link your child's Google Play account.
Press 'Open Google Play' and follow the on screen instructions.
Once linked, all apps downloaded are via their Google Account, but don't worry(!), their Google Play account is protected by your SafetyMode parent password. This means you can approve which apps they have access to and when.
